$4.5 million: What candidates for Ohio attorney general spent, combined, on advertising in 2006.
$86,000: What candidates for Ohio attorney general spent, combined, on advertising in 2002.
$3 billion: Nationwide spending on political advertising expected in 2008 — a figure that is up 30 percent form 2006 and 77 percent from 2004.
