Canfield-Celina softball delayed

AKRON — The Canfield-Celina state championship softball game has been delayed at Firestone Stadium.

The Division II contest was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., but the Div. III game that saw Hebron Lakewood defeat Wellington, 5-3, finished at about 3 p.m.

After the trophies were presented, the stadium was cleared to allow a large turnout of Canfield and Celina fans into the ballpark about 3:15 p.m.

The Canfield-Celina game should be under way by 4 p.m.
