Published: Tue, June 3, 2008 @ 9:12 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — A man who pleaded guilty to receiving property stolen from an elderly Craig Beach couple has been sentenced to 27 months in prison and ordered to make full restitution.

Keith A. McGarvey, 41, of Canary Drive, Lake Milton, who has a lengthy criminal record, drew the sentence from Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The judge imposed three consecutive nine-month prison terms, one for each of three counts of receiving stolen property, which name a handgun, a rifle and between $5,000 and $100,000 in jewelry and collectibles.

Cynthia L. Russell, 45, who resides with McGarvey, is to be sentenced by Judge Krichbaum at 9 a.m. Friday after she pleaded guilty to three counts of theft pertaining to the same items, some of which she took to a Boardman pawn shop.
