Work shifts halved at GM Lordstown

Published: Thu, July 31, 2008 @ 4:29 p.m.

LORDSTOWN — A second stamping press broke down at the General Motors’ fabricating plant, which cut work shifts in half today.

Chris Lee, a GM spokesman, said the fabricating plant is scheduled to return to full production Friday. The assembly plant, which takes the metal parts produced at the fabricating plant, has remained at full staffing.

For more information, see Friday’s Vindicator or www.vindy.com.
