Fundraiser will take riders out on horseback

EAST LIVERPOOL — On Angels’ Wings, a nonprofit therapeutic horseback riding organization, is planning a fundraising trail ride for Aug. 16 at Beaver Creek Horseman’s Camp, 12816 Sprucevale Road.

The scenic trail rides will go through Beaver Creek State Park.

Registration is two hours before each ride, and rides leave at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Weather permitting, there will also be a night ride.

Cost is $25 per rider, or for $10, donors can just enjoy a simple cowboy dinner around 4 p.m. A campfire is planned for the evening. For more information or to register, call Tina Metzgar at (330) 853-0868 or Lorie Shaffer at (330) 502-9560.
