Nady pulled from Pirates’ lineup, trade imminent

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates pulled Xavier Nady after the first inning Friday night and announced they agreed to a trade involving the outfielder and reliever Damaso Marte.

The Pirates said during their game against San Diego that the trade is pending physicals and didn’t immediately announce the other team involved in the deal.
