Jerens to mark 60th anniversary of their wedding

X BOARDMAN — Plans are being made for the celebration of the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jeren of Boardman.

The former Theresa Timko and Mr. Jeren exchanged nuptial vows June 26, 1948, at St. Elizabeth Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Charles Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Their family includes their children and their spouses, Janice and Robert Wirtz II of Ontario, Ohio; Richard R. Jeren II of Boardman; Dr. Bradley and Barbara Jeren of Boardman; and Todd and Kimberly Jeren of Nashport; and their six grandchildren, Dr. Robert III and Bryan Wirtz and Rebecca, Christopher, Amanda and Sydney Jeren.

Mr. Jeren was a teacher and principal for 37 years and retired in 1987 as a school principal.

Mrs. Jeren was a secretary for Sherwood Forest Garden Club and also for Youngstown Educators Wives Club.
