Announcement is made of Maier, Rosa engagement

X YOUNGSTOWN — Announced by John and Deborah Rosa, 241 S. Glenellen Ave., is the engagement of their son, David Joseph Rosa, and Amanda Marie Maier, both 212 Marksfield Circle, Louisville, Ky.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Edward and Alicia Maier, 519 Quail Drive, Naperville, Ill.

The couple have planned a wedding that will take place at 5 p.m. Aug. 23 at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa in Galena, Ill., where a reception will follow the ceremony. Invitations will be extended for the events.

A graduate of Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Miss Maier is an account executive with Finelight Advertising Agency in Louisville.

The groom received a bachelor’s degree in economics and history from Marietta College and a master’s in English literature from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He is an implementation manager with Humana Healthcare in Louisville.
