The weekend celebration of Mercer County’s heritage began in Mercer on Friday night and continues through the weekend. Here’s what’s coming up.

Today, all day

Variety of food.

Western Pa. Civil War Re-enactors encampment, in the historical society’s backyard on Pitt Street.

Used book sale at the historical society.

Children’s reading, coloring books, face painting, games, on the courthouse lawn.

Silent auction of Victorian hats, purses, etc., courthouse lawn.

Apple dumplings for sale, Republican headquarters.

Carriage rides, at the corner of South Diamond Street.

Arts and crafts, courthouse lawn.

10 a.m.: Grande Victorian Parade.

11:15-11:45 a.m.: Bandstand entertainment.

11:30 a.m. and starting every half hour, guided tours of the historical society museum.

12:15-1 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment.

1-3 p.m.: Courthouse tours.

1:30-2:30 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment.

1:30-2:30 p.m.: New graveyard tour, Citizens Cemetery, enter east entrance off Pitt Street.

3 p.m.: Underground Railroad walking tour, starts at historical society on Pitt Street.

3-5 p.m.: Bandstand entertainment.

7-10 p.m.: Victorian/Civil Ball, courthouse rotunda, $15 per person.

Sunday, all day

Variety of food.

3 p.m.: Underground Railroad walking tour, starts at historical society on Pitt Street.

4:30 p.m.: Car show door prizes, announced from bandstand.

5 p.m.: Festival closes.
