Autumn date told for Brophey, Garvey wedding

X An autumn wedding is planned by Gina Brophey of Durham, N.C., a daughter of Debby and Greg Brophey of East Liverpool, and Dr. Matthew Garvey, also of Durham, a son of Dr. and Mrs. Randal Garvey of New Albany and Mrs. Corinne Garvey of Upper Arlington.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a ceremony that will take place Oct. 18 at St. Aloysius Community Parish in East Liverpool.

Miss Brophey graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received a master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Toledo College of Graduate Studies. She is a physician assistant at Triangle Orthopaedics in Durham.

Dr. Garvey is a resident physician at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he is an anesthesiologist. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine.
