X SALEM — The Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiated at 1:30 p.m. April 12 at St. Paul Church for the wedding of Julia Lesko, a daughter of Albert and Brenda Lesko, all of 2378 Oak St., and Harjyot Sohal, 3904 W. Oak Drive, Columbia, Mo., a son of Harjit and Jagmani Sohal of Houston.

The couple received congratulations during a reception at the Links at Firestone Farms in Columbiana before leaving for a two-week honeymoon on the French Polynesian Islands of Bora Bora and Moorea.

Since their return, they live in Columbia.

Honor attendant was the bride’s sister-in-law, Ashley Lesko of Salem, and bridesmaids were Gurjyot Doshi of Detroit, the groom’s sister; Amanda Wilkinson of Avon Lake, a cousin of the bride; and Jill Rand of Salem.

Dr. Pratic Doshi of Detroit, the groom’s brother-in-law, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Matthew and Brock Lesko of Salem, brothers of the bride, and Dr. Jeremy Johnson of Columbia.

The bride graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and from the University of Akron with a master’s in nursing. She is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

The groom is a pulmonary/critical care physician at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. He graduated from medical school and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
