Arts for Alzheimer’s program at Villa Maria

ALLIANCE — In conjunction with the Arts for Alzheimer’s program at Mount Union College’s Art on the Lake, the staff and residents at Villa Maria, 122 E. College St., are collecting items that can be included in Memory Baskets for the elderly in nursing home.

Items that are needed include kitchen tools, old trophies, jewelry, fishing equipment, toys, and anything else that will help residents evoke memories from the past. Donations will be accepted at Villa Maria.

The Art on the Lake festivities will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 27 and include heritage music by area singers and by the Villa Maria Traveling Band. Intergenerational activities are also scheduled.
