Published: Thu, July 17, 2008 @ 12:00 a.m.

Staff Report

BOARDMAN — Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 began work Wednesday to make signing changes on state Routes 625 and 170.

Route 625 will continue to run north from U.S. Route 224 along Lockwood and Arden boulevards, but will end at the intersection of U.S. Route 62 (Canfield Road) and Arden, just west of Mill Creek Park.

Previously, Route 625 extended east all the way to Interstate 680.

Route 170 will remain on its current route east and south of I-680 but will now be extended west from I-680 along Midlothian Boulevard then north on Glenwood Avenue and end at the intersection of Route 62 and Glenwood Avenue. This extension of Route 170 is along the former routing of Route 625.

Various lane restrictions will occur on southbound I-680, just 11‚Ñ2 miles north of the Midlothian interchange (Exit 9).

Once the southbound side of I-680 work is completed, ODOT traffic crews will have various lane restrictions on northbound I-680.

These restrictions are expected to continue until early today.

During the daytime hours today, ODOT Mahoning County maintenance crews will work along Midlothian and Glenwood on changing out the ground-mount signs.

All restrictions and sign work will be completed by 5 p.m. today.
