AUSTINTOWN — Ron Chick’s “Friends” Big Band Dinner Concert and Dance will be Sunday at Lucianno’s Banquet Center, in the Wedgewood Plaza on Raccoon Road.

Chick’s 22-piece orchestra plays the nostalgic big band music that was often heard at the old Idora Park ballroom, including Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra and Natalie Cole. It includes former members of famous bands, including Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Jimmy Dorsey and The Navy Band. Guest vocalists will be Rachell Joy and Brian Palumbo.

The doors will open at 5 p.m., with dinner at 5:30 p.m. and concert and dancing at 7 p.m.

The cost is $35 per person for dinner and the show, which includes tax and tip; or $23 per person for the show and coffee bar only. Call (330) 788-0494 for reservations. Tables of eight and 10 can be reserved.
