Holmes-Fleming engagement is announced

X McDONALD — Announced by Glenn and Carol Holmes, 918 Pennsylvania Ave., is the engagement of their daughter, Christine D. Holmes, 1112 Towne St., Cincinnati, and Gene Fleming, a son of Gene and Marcia Fleming, all of 5422 Newfield St., Cincinnati.

The couple have planned a wedding that will take place Aug. 9 at First Baptist Church in Girard. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for an evening reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

The bride-elect is a registered nurse at the Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Malone College in Canton.

The prospective groom is majoring in psychology at the University of Cincinnati and is employed as a service coordinator with Maketewah Country Club.
