Bristol fire claims one life

Published: Tue, July 15, 2008 @ 3:58 p.m.

BRISTOLVILLE — Fire killed one resident and left another in critical condition when the Pizza Express at 1832 Greenville Road burned down today.

Sherri Seeman, 44, died; her father, William, 77, is at the Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Center. His condition was not immediately available. The two lived above the restaurant.

Bristol Township Fire Chief Roger French said the building will likely be a complete loss. The department received a call from Trumbull County 911 at 7:55 a.m. The Trumbull County Fire Investigation Unit was on the scene today, but French said the building was too hot to check.

The building will remain boarded and locked until the investigation can continue Wednesday on what started the blaze. Other area fire departments responded from Bazetta, Bloomfield, Champion, Mecca, Middlefield and Orwell.
