Mr. and Mrs. Koch plan to celebrate 60th anniversary

X NEW WATERFORD — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Koch of New Waterford observed their 60th wedding anniversary recently. A family dinner in their honor will celebrate the occasion later this month.

The former Jean Bruce and Mr. Koch were married July 3, 1948, at New Waterford Presbyterian Church, where they are active, along with other community affairs.

Mr. Koch served two and a half years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his discharge in 1946, he began a banking career that lasted until he retired in 1996 from the New Waterford Bank as chairman of its board of directors.

Mrs. Koch retired in 1986 from her career as a nurse at Salem Community Hospital.

The couple have two children, Stephen (Jane) Koch of Columbiana and Sandra Rodabaugh of London, Ohio, and three grandchildren, Heidi, Molly and Sarah.
