Details on the four divisions of Severstal, which bought WCI Steel:

Russian Steel: Primary mill is in Cherepovets in northwest Russia.

Severstal North America: Created in 2004 when Severstal bought the former Rouge Steel in Dearborn, Mich. With other acquisitions and expansions, it now is the fourth-largest steelmaker in the U.S.

Lucchini: Severstal owns 71 percent of Lucchini, the second-largest Italian steel group. It has 20 mills in five countries.

Severstal Mining: Provides iron ore and coal needed by its Russian steel mill.
