Deputy reports theft of guns, sword

YOUNGSTOWN — A thief stole seven guns and a sword from the home of a Mahoning County deputy sheriff.

A window of his West Side home was forced open between 4 p.m. and midnight Saturday, and the house was ransacked. The deputy and his wife had been away.

Here's more formerly legal guns now in the hands of criminals. That is the problem with legal handguns.

We do not know that the 7 legal guns taken were handguns, but we do know that whoever took them is a criminal. Criminals like him are opportunists. He (or she) knew there was an "opportunity" in that house for some quick cash and that quick cash could be needed to support drug habits. ILLEGAL DRUG usage is the real culprit in America. It is driving the economy of the criminal culture, ruining family, social, and racial health and is impacting all of us more so than $4.00 a gallon for gasoline, despite what anyone may think.
