WARREN — It took 29 years, but local and federal investigators say they have arrested the man they believe fatally stabbed 18-year-old Bernard Williamson on Main Avenue on April 29, 1979.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service, along with local and Arizona officials, arrested Ronald Stahlman, 55, in Payson, Ariz., today. Officials say they expect extradition proceedings to begin right away to bring Stahlman to Ohio to face charges.
A press release from the U.S. Marshal’s Service says Stahlman, then a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, and some friends were involved in an assault in which Stahlman stabbed Williamson numerous times, killing him.
Warren police issued an arrest warrant in 1979 for Stahlman, but he fled from Ohio and started a new life in the Phoenix, Ariz., area with a new name, the U.S. Marshal’s Office said.

Doesn't anyone remember the other man that was charged- he was the one with the knife wounds-not Ronnie. But, he supposedly passed a polyograph test that excluded him as the killer? RIGHT.
He just pawned it of on Ronnie to get himself off- what a great guy!
If I had all that against me and I rode a bike back then I would have taken off too- the cops here wouldn't have even tried to believe him and what about the other 3 or 4 guys that were there? Howa re they so sure it was one guy?
Don't forget the co-defendant that got off ran too... he just got caught. Are they getting the "facts" from this guys statement?!?!Of course he would say Ronnie did it!!! Ronnie wasn't there to defend himself...so it was pretty easy to blame it on him, don't you think? I heard there were several people there... how can they be so sure it was just one guy?
