65th anniversary to be celebrated by the Leedys

XYOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leedy, 1310 Fifth Ave., will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on April 17 at their home.

Hosts for the event will be their children and their spouses, Ronald and Susan Leedy of Garden Grover, Calif., and Joyce and Robert Williams of Channahon, Ill. The couple also have two grandchildren, Kristen and Lindsey Williams.

The former Dorothy Myers and Mr. Leedy were united in marriage April 17, 1943, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. They are members of Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She is a member of Miriam Chapter 278, Order of Eastern Star, and he is a member of Wick Lodge 481 F&AM.

Mr. Leedy served with the U.S. Army in 1942 and was president of Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc. prior to retiring in 1975. His wife is a homemaker.
