Some top performances from Week 3
RUSHING
A.J. Zitello, Mineral Ridge — Gained 244 yards on 33 carries and scored a touchdown as the Rams beat McDonald 24-14.
Fitzgerald Toussaint, Liberty — The area’s leading rusher went for 188 yards and three TDs on just 14 carries as the Leopards remained unbeaten with a 41-3 win over Campbell.
D.J. Woleslagle, Mohawk — Rushed 28 times for 182 yards and two scores as the Warriors beat Union 36-16.
PASSING
Shane Ewing, Western Reserve — In the Blue Devils’ 56-27 loss to Columbiana, the sophomore was 10-of-24 for 202 yards and tossed two TDs.
Josh Selway, Leetonia — The Bears’ junior signal-caller played really well in a 23-20 loss to Mathews, a game that spanned two days. Selway completed 15 of 24 passes for 199 yards and a TD.
RECEIVING
Ben Eisel, Salem — The Quakers fell 35-16 to West Branch, but this sophomore wideout had 10 catches covering 96 yards and he scored a touchdown.
Marty Brinker, Girard — The senior had three catches for 79 yards and a score in the Indians’ 41-21 setback to Warren JFK.
