Children surprise DeMains on 40th with a celebration
XYOUNGSTOWN — John Jr. and Norma DeMain, 3119 Louise Rita Court, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Oct. 7 at the Boardman home of their daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Joseph Cole.
The surprise party was also hosted by the couple’s other children, Dean and Gina DeMain of Boardman and Todd DeMain of Austintown. The couple have three grandchildren, Stephanie, Emily and Anthony DeMain.
Mr. DeMain and the former Norma Piccolo were married Oct. 7, 1967, at St. Lucy Church in Campbell.
Mrs. DeMain, a homemaker, formerly worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. She belongs to the Oldsmobile Club of America.
Mr. DeMain retired in 1996 from the engineering department of the city of Youngstown and now is co-owner of Amer’s Hobby Shop in Boardman. He also belongs to the Oldsmobile Club and is a 50-year member of the Youngstown Model Railroad Association.
He retired in 1990 from the Ohio National Guard.
The DeMains are members of St. Christine Church.
