Penn. National Fuel customers will see rate hike

Published: Tue, July 31, 2007 @ 2:28 p.m.

SHARON, Pa. — National Fuel customers will see a 9-percent increase in their natural gas bills this month. National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation’s Pennsylvania Division is making its annual rate adjustment. A residential customer using 100,000 cubic feet of gas annually will see their monthly bill increase from $118.33 to $128.99.

As the summer months pass, customers are encouraged to prepare now for when colder weather will lead to increased usage and higher bills. Customers can call National Fuel at 1-800-365-3234 to find out about payment programs and available services.

National Fuel serves approximately 214,000 customers in 14 counties in northwestern Pennsylvania including 30,000 customers in Mercer County.
