Published: Tue, July 31, 2007 @ 3:06 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — A 12-year-old boy injured in a golf cart accident last week is listed in critical condition at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Caleb Cope, 12, of Elm Street, New Waterford, was injured July 25 when he was driving a golf cart behind a relative’s home on Sugar Cane Drive, Boardman. The cart overturned, trapping him beneath it.

Late last week, the hospital listed the boy’s condition as critical but stable.

Two other boys who also were on the golf cart, Heyden Cope, 12, of Kirk Road, Columbiana, and Trevor Cope, 10, also of Elm Street, New Waterford, jumped from the golf cart before it turned over.
