Vacant South Side house set on fire

YOUNGSTOWN — Two beer bottles with wicks were taken as evidence at the scene of a vacant house fire around 2:40 a.m. today at 609 Lee Ave. on the South Side, the fire department said.

Firefighters found two small fires had been intentionally set on the second floor, one in the bathroom and one in the hallway. Damage was estimated at $500.
