YOUNGSTOWN — The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program in Mahoning County Juvenile Court is seeking community volunteers for its fall session to train as Guardians ad Litem and represent the best interests of abused and neglected children.

CASA is a national organization that believes in the power of volunteers to change the lives of children.

Volunteers agree to attend 34 hours of classroom and courtroom observation and advocate in the best interest of one case for one year or until the assigned case has ended. Twelve hours of continuing education is then required to remain a CASA/GAL.

For more information call (330) 740-2239 before Aug. 1.
