Suspect in shooting of federal agent appears in court

YOUNGSTOWN — A $4 million bond has been set for the man accused of shooting a federal agent.

William Amos, 22, of East Florida Avenue, appeared in Youngstown Municipal Court today charged with felonious assault and attempted murder.

Amos is accused of shooting the agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives twice in the foot on Wednesday. Amos turned himself in to authorities following an intensive manhunt Wednesday.
