Edwards Live | Edwards listens to women's stories
Presidential hopeful John Edwards spoke to four women about their struggles to turn their lives around today. Two of the women live in Beatitude House’s buildings on Lora Avenue. The other two are graduates of a program that helps provide homeless women with housing assistance, and job and life skills.
Edwards spent most of the time listening to their life stories and asking a few questions.
Eliminating poverty is one of Edward’s key campaign planks.
“I’m very proud of what your doing.” Edwards told the women.
“All of you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished.”
Edwards then left to meet with local business leaders at the Youngstown Business Incubator on West Federal Street at about 3 p.m.
