Although the 45-minute downpour of rain the Valley received earlier today cooled things off for the time being, Mark Adams, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service forecast office in Cleveland, said that it won’t mean much, as far as moistening dry ground.
“It might help for growing purposes for something like grass for a day or two,” Adams said of today’s rain. “What we need is a couple of rains that occur in a week’s time to make a difference. But, if it doesn’t rain after today anytime soon, today’s rain won’t matter too much.”
Adams added that the weather pattern is not looking quite as bad as its been recently in terms of rain coming, as we may be seeing some more rain tomorrow evening.
