COUNTING THE TRAFFIC

There’s a ‘puff’ of air

Eastgate Regional Council of Governments collects the traffic counts with an electric traffic counter tube. The rubber tube is laid across a road, and as each car drives over it, it creates a puff of air, which is counted, according to Ed Davis of ERCOG.

Here are the sixth through 10th heaviest traveled roads in the Valley, according to the count.
