Dedication planned for World Prayer Center

Published: Wed, July 4, 2007 @ 12:00 a.m.

COITSVILLE — Victory Christian Center, Route 422, 3899 McCartney Road, will have an open house and dedication Saturday of its new World Prayer Center.

The open house will start at 9 a.m. and a prayer of dedication will be at noon.

The prayer center, which was completed in January, has about 2,100 square feet of space. Four individual prayer rooms complement a large meeting area accented by a fireplace and bronze water fountain. Donations from Victory’s congregation financed the structure.

David and Kathie Thomas, senior pastors, said the prayer center offers a place for people of all denominations in the greater Youngstown area to come together to pray for the needs of Youngstown and nations of the world.

The Rev. Mrs. Thomas also noted that the prayer rooms provide places for those who are ill to come and “receive compassionate prayer, hope and encouragement by a team of people who have faith in God who is able to heal.”
