A story in the June 27 Vindicator incorrectly reported that William Bagnola, president of the Youngstown Education Association, said the 65 early-retirement deals violated the terms of the union’s contract. Bagnola’s correct statement is that job cuts in excess of the early-retirement deals violate the contract.

Susann Stupka received a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The information was omitted from her engagement announcement in Sunday’s edition.

The shooting that injured a 16-year-old Campbell girl took place in front of the Kirwan Community Center, 75 Jackson Drive, and not at the Community Center at Roosevelt Park as reported Tuesday.
