Rondinelli slips past Astro 5-4 in Class B action

STRUTHERS — Bob Switka gave up three earned runs on six hits through six innings, striking out three and walking one to lead Rondinelli past Astro 5-4 in a Class B game Saturday at Cene Park.

Cory Hitt and Chuck Olseky each had two hits for Rondinelli (19-6).

Dave DeJacimo had a two-run double for Astro (19-7).

Sugar 5, Rondinelli 4

Jeremy Savaet pitched the first 42⁄3 innings to get the win and Jake Thomas got the save. Jeff Musick was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Dave Sugar (13-13).

Chuck Olesky had two hits and Tony Brunetti added a three-run triple for Rondinelli (18-6).

Ryan Antolich went the distance, allowing one earned run on nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts to lead Action (10-16). Josh Fyffe added two hits and Mike Backes had a two-run single.

Jeff Musick and Eric Pirtz each had two hits for Dave Sugar.

Simon Roofing 8, Yo. Express 1

Roberto Morales had his best game of the summer, allowing one run on seven hits in six innings with no walks and one strikeout. Matt Durkin had three hits, three RBIs and scored twice for Simon (12-13).

Chris Stewart had two hits for Express (3-23).
