KOREAN WAR COST

June 25 was the 57th anniversary of the start of the Korean War, which took place from June 25, 1950, to July 27, 1953. The losses:

Killed in action: 23,615.

Died of wounds: 2,460.

Missing in action, declared dead: 4,817.

Captured, declared dead: 2,849.

Number of dead by branch of military.

Army: 27,731.

Air Force: 1,238.

Marine Corps: 4,267.

Navy: 505.
