YOUNGSTOWN -- Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church was the setting at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 22 for the wedding of JoAnn Marie Stryczny and Joseph M. Ventresco Jr.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated for the daughter of Theodore and Marian Stryczny, 8029 French St., Garrettsville, and the son of Joseph M. Ventresco Sr., 177 Runnemede Drive, Boardman, and Carol Ventresco, 1371 Loma Vista Drive.
A reception was held afterward at The Georgetown, Boardman.
After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple live at 260 Riverwind Drive, Marysville.
The bride's white satin A-line gown featured a sweetheart neckline, embroidered lace cap sleeves, side draping and a chapel train, and was enhanced with beaded metallic embroidery.
Victorian-lilac gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Gwen Mason and Audrey McGinnis, and the bridesmaids, Angela Burnell, Katie Post, Shawna Mason and Katie Butto. Flower girls were Bethany and Bianca Mason.
Best man was Tony Ventresco, and groomsmen were Teddy Stryczny, Chip Craig, Paul Butto, Jeff Mihok and Carmine Carrabbia. Ring bearer was Anthony Butto.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in education and is an English instructor with Ohio Hi-Point Career Center in Bellefontaine. The groom earned a bachelor's in elementary education at Youngstown State University and is a department supervisor with Home Depot in Dublin, Ohio.
