Rockets win 13th, now 8-0
Wellsville walloped McDonald; United won to remain in first.
BERLIN CENTER -- Kristen Pallozzi, Ali Grapevine and Whitney Palumbo scored 14, 13 and 10 points Monday as Lowellville registered a 54-24 verdict over Western Reserve.
The Rockets (13-1, 8-0 Inter Tri-County League Tier Two) jumped out to a 33-13 lead by the break.
Lowellville got scoring from eight players while just four Blue Devils cracked the scoring column.
Grapevine added 11 rebounds.
Lainey Kekic scored nine points for Western Reserve (4-9, 1-7).
Wellsville 68, McDonald 36
WELLSVILLE -- Jasmine Richardson had a career night to lead Wellsville to victory over McDonald.
Richardson finished with 37 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocked shots as she outscored the entire McDonald team.
P.J. Williams added 13 points for Wellsville (7-7, 6-2 ITCL Tier Two).
Joh'Vonnie Mosley led McDonald (12-2, 5-2) with 14 points.
Jackson-Milton 56, Leetonia 50
NORTH JACKSON -- Jessica Balent scored 24 points, 20 of them in the second half, as Jackson-Milton turned back Leetonia.
Carrie Fiol added 10 points for the Bluejays.
United 60, Mineral Ridge 42
HANOVERTON -- The Golden Eagles (10-3, 8-1 ITCL Tier One) took a 31-17 lead by halftime and the Rams never threatened.
Maggie Sell sparked United with 19 points and she had three steals. Heather Reinhart scored 10 points for the Rams and she grabbed nine rebounds.
Columbiana 62, Springfield 41
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Krista Johnston and Katie Douglas each registered 20 points to lead Columbiana.
Whitney Yaeger had 12 points and nine rebounds to spark Springfield, while Melissa Huffman added nine points, Carrie Ritzler eight and Andria Lyson three assists.
Lakeside 82, Warren Harding 72
WARREN -- After Warren Harding battle back from a 41-29 halftime deficit to tie the scored 69-69 to send the game into overtime, Lakeside outscored the Panthers 13-3 in the extra period for the victory.
Ashtabula Lakeside (10-3) went on a 8-0 run at the start of the extra quarter and the Panthers (3-10) couldn't get back in it.
Bonnie Smith paced the Dragons with 29 points. Kemela Bender, Aundrea Baldridge and Jasmine Kirkland, who had 11 rebounds, spark the Raiders with 18, 17 and 16 points respectively.
Youngstown Christian 47, Wilson 30
YOUNGSTOWN -- Kara Cooper tossed in 18 points and added eight steals to lead Youngstown Christian (12-3) past Wilson.
Vickie Bankhead added 13 points and nine rebounds and Sara Bell pulled down 12 rebounds.
Wilson (2-12) was led by Marcinde North with 13 points.
