Free support groups
YOUNGSTOWN -- The American Cancer Society sponsors a number of support groups that are free to cancer patients, families and friends. Most groups meet each month in every county in Ohio and are led by a cancer survivor. This gives cancer patients an opportunity to talk to someone who dealt with the disease and provides emotional support.
For information on the types of groups available and when they meet, call the ACS toll free, day or night, at (800) ACS-2345.
