Rainfall has waterways overflowing
Steady rain over the past few days causes some flooding and some spectacular scenes in the Mahoning Valley. Above, water cascades over the Lake Cohasset dam in Mill Creek Park, Youngstown. The water levels of Mill Creek and Mahoning River rose Monday after several days of rain. At right, the Mahoning spills over the River Walk near Perkins Park in downtown Warren. Forecasters warned of possible flooding throughout much of Ohio and western Pennsylvania, and temperatures were predicted to drop in the coming days with snow expected off Lake Erie in parts of northern Ohio.
