Krakes renew marriage vows on anniversary

JACKSON TOWNSHIP -- Former Austintown residents Tom and Carole Krake, who live in Jackson Township in the Canal Fulton area, are celebrating 50 years of marriage by renewing their marriage vows during a 7:30 a.m. ceremony today at St. Mary Parish in Massillon, where they are members.
An anniversary celebration was also held during a recent visit to Alaska.
Mr. Krake graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He retired as a supervisor from Ohio Edison Co.
Mrs. Krake attended Lewis, Weinberger and Hill School of Cosmetology. She was a licensed managing cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor, and operated her own beauty shop in Austintown for 19 years.
The couple have two daughter, Karen Jordon of Anchorage, Alaska, and Patricia Summers of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and twin great-granddaughters.
The Krakes are members of several antique car clubs.
