United States Steel Corp. has promoted Scott Coleman, formerly of Cortland, as general manager of Minnesota Ore Operations. Minnesota Ore Operations comprises Minntac, a mine and pelletizing operation in Mountain Iron, Minn., and Keetac, a mine and pelletizing operation in Keewatin, Minn. Coleman earned a bachelor's degree in industrial management from the University of Akron.
Jameson Health System has named Douglas Danko its chief operating officer, succeeding Donald Melonio who retired after 35 years. Danko will be responsible for professional as well as operational departments and will staff various board committees. Danko had been vice president of professional services and director of the South Campus.
Jameson also named Dr. David Anderson the medical director of the emergency department, replacing Dr. Rick Wadas. Dr. Anderson has served as emergency physician at Jameson.
Rehab Unlimited at Southbridge in Boardman has hired Michael Hopfenziz as a staff physical therapist. The Columbiana resident has five years of experience and has a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Youngstown State University.
Reminger & amp; Reminger Co., a Cleveland law firm, has elected Robert Yallech, formerly of Poland, as a partner. He is a member of the firm's products liability litigation practice group. He earned his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Former Youngstown resident Nicole Nocera, who is a graduate of Chaney High School, has been made a partner in the Chicago law firm Wildman Harrold. She is a member of the firm's litigation department. She received her bachelor's degree from Ohio University and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Shannon Ealy has been promoted as the income development director of the Northeast Ohio Region American Cancer Society. Ealy is responsible for overseeing all of the income development activities in the region, such as Relay For Life, golf events and other fund-raising activities. She had been an income development coordinator. She has a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
Also, the organization hired Jennifer Everett as an income development coordinator and will oversee the Alliance, Kent State University, Newcomerstown and Wooster Relay For Life events. The Boardman resident has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State University.
Eileen Ramunno was hired as an income development administrative assistant. The Boardman resident will assist the income development coordinators, answer telephone inquiries and provide other assistance at the regional office in Canfield. She has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Kent State University.
Amber Parker-Vogt was hired as an income development coordinator and will oversee the 2007 Austintown and Youngstown State University Relay For Life events, the Pink Ribbon Ladies Golf Outing and the Cattle Baron's Ball in Akron. The Canfield resident was graduated from the University of Texas, where she majored in sport management and business.
