Strickland's inaugural: 'A lot of hope'
Ohio Governor Ted Strickland (D-Lisbon)
The focus of Gov. Ted Strickland's inaugural address in Columbus today was one of hope. It was so full of hope that Strickland, a Lisbon Democrat, used that word 13 times during his speech, including eight times as he finished the address.
When talking about "the echo of hope" in Ohio, Strickland said, "It's muted hope. Hope without words. Raw hope ready to be put to purpose. And what does this hope say to us? It says we can do better."
