Leetonia begins repairing waterline break
LEETONIA -- Village officials will begin repairing a waterline break at 8 a.m. today and expect to have the line repaired by early evening.
Village administrator Gary Phillips said the line on Madison Street between State and Front streets broke about 7 p.m. Thursday.
Madison will be closed between those streets all day today.
The affected customers are businesses. Phillips said that when the line is repaired, those businesses will be under a boil advisory because of possible contamination.
Phillips said customers on the north and south sides of the village will see slight discoloration in their water while the line is repaired. Phillips said the water there is safe to drink and a boil advisory isn't needed.
