Erica Sims scores 45 as Lisbon rolls past East Palestine, 83-56
LISBON -- Erica Sims broke two school records Thursday in leading the Lisbon High girls basketball team to an 83-56 victory over East Palestine.
Sims scored 45 points, breaking the record of 41 set by Tina Huckshold in 2001-02. She made seven 3-pointers, one more than Meghan Brammer made in 2003-04.
Caitlin Glenn scored 15 points for the Blue Devils (10-2, 5-1 Inter Tri-County League Tier One) while Emily Smith made three seals.
For the Bulldogs, Jesse Gamble scored 18 points and Jennie Allison netted 13. Logan Guy had eight points and six rebounds.

NORTH LIMA -- The Golden Eagles (8-3, 5-1 ITCL Tier One) defense limited the Raiders to three points in the first quarter, five in the second and six in the third in building a 41-14 lead.
Allison Graham scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds to pace the Golden Eagles. Darlene Woolf chipped in with nine points and three steals.
Autumn Carter led the Raiders (6-6, 2-4) with six points. Patty Schuster pulled down 14 rebounds.
Columbiana 44, Mineral Ridge 19
COLUMBIANA -- Katie Douglas had 16 points, seven rebounds and eight steals to lead Columbiana in a ITCL Tier One game.
Krista Johnson added 12 points and four assists for the Clippers (7-5, 4-2), who outscored the Rams 15-0 in the second quarter.
Sarah Garland had seven points and six rebounds for Ridge (4-7, 0-4).
McDonald 60, Leetonia 43
McDONALD -- A press that lasted only one quarter gave McDonald enough of a lead (18-4) to carry the Blue Devils to victory, their fourth straight in the ITCL Tier Two.
Five-foot-6-inch freshman John'vonnie Mosely had 20 points and 14 rebounds, while junior Emily Dolsak scored 15 points. Both are post players.
McDonald's lone loss was to Lowellville.
Gina Jones and Erin Lamb both had 11 points for Leetonia.
Lowellville 54, Wellsville 33
WELLSVILLE -- The Lowellville High School girls basketball team kept its five-game unbeaten streak in the ITCL Tier Two League going by posting a victory at Wellsville.
The Rockets built a 43-22 lead by the end of the third quarter, then cruised to the win.
Ali Grapevine paced the Rockets (10-1 overall) with 16 points and she grabbed 16 rebounds and block four shots. Jacaque Schrader added 11 points and had six steals. Kristen Pallozzi chipped in with 11 points. Kaitlin McCarthy had six assists.
P.J. Williams, Mikelle Williams and Jasmine Richardson each had nine points for the Tigers. Richardson had six rebounds and two assists.
