Leetonia water break to be repaired Friday
LEETONIA — Village officials will begin repairing a water line break at 8 a.m. Friday and expect to have the line repaired by early evening.
Village administrator Gary Phillips said that the line on Madison Street between State and Front streets broke around 7 tonight.
Madison will be closed between those streets all day Friday.
The affected customers are businesses.
Phillips said that a temporary water supply will be run to several of the businesses and another business doesn’t need water.
When the line is repaired, those businesses will be under a boil advisory because of possible contamination.
Phillips said customers on the north and south sides of the village will see slight discoloration while the line is repaired, but the water will be safe to drink and a boil advisory isn’t needed.
