Fugitive captured
YOUNGSTOWN -- After months on the run, fugitive Bruce Clinkscale has been arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, officials said. Clinkscale, 34, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with firearms specifications. Officials didn't say what he is accused of robbing. They said Clinkscale was found Saturday at a home on Lanterman Road. Clinkscale's charges are pending at Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. He was indicted in April 2006 and a warrant was issued in May 2006 when he failed to appear in court.
Arrest in armed robbery
BOARDMAN -- Police recovered 1,815 from an armed robbery suspect after a foot chase Tuesday afternoon.
David Tribble, 26, of Stewart Avenue in Youngstown was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to the Mahoning County jail. He is accused of taking the money at gunpoint from All Drivers Insurance Agency on Hillman Way, said Boardman police.
Police said that shortly after the robbery at 4 p.m., an officer saw the suspect at Hillman and Midlothian Boulevard and police began the chase. The suspect was caught in a yard on Hudson Drive.
Lottery host contest
LAKE MILTON -- Neveen Judeh of Lake Milton was chosen as the second finalist in the Ohio Lottery's Talent Search, "Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich," co-host search.
She won 100 after sending in the 2 instant lottery ticket associated with the competition. She also has the opportunity to send in a video audition to win the spot as the show's co-host for a year. The auditions are aired on the "Make Me Famous, Make Me Rich" television show, and viewers can vote for their favorite finalist at www.makemefamousmakemerich.com. The Ohio Lottery is still looking for eight more finalists. The competition ends in September.
Ellwood City man killed
BUTLER, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police said snowy roads contributed to the death of an Ellwood City man in a crash on Pa. Route 19 near here. They said Patrick T. Murphy, 33, of New Castle, was southbound at 6:24 a.m. Tuesday when he lost control of his car, which crashed into a vehicle driven by Herbert R. Bleakney, 81, of Ellwood City. Bleakney was killed. Murphy was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, police said.
Teen shot in drive-by
YOUNGSTOWN -- Erik Morales, 16, of Brooklyn Avenue, told police he was shot in his right leg as he stood on the sidewalk on Glenwood Avenue around 8:50 p.m. Monday, reports show. Morales said the shots came from a passing vehicle. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Information about law for same-sex families
YOUNGSTOWN -- Information on legal protections for same-sex families will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Pride Center in First Unitarian Church of Youngstown, 1105 Elm St. Attorneys and a financial planning specialist will be present. The session is free.
