I think Florida coach Urban Meyer spoke for us all when he started Sunday's press conference with this:
"I just visited with Coach Tressel. We are both ready to go play a football game, and enough press conferences, with all due respect. I know are players are ready to play. It has been a long time."
I couldn't agree more, Coach. It's amazing how much information has to be dissected in just five days. There aren't many players made available until Media Day, and even then there's little dozens of pages of quotes that are provided.
There's no question both teams are ready to play, and everyone has their opinion on which team will win and why. My gut feeling is this: If Ohio State plays a mistake-free game the Buckeyes will win. Like the Michigan game, the Buckeyes will allow Florida to hang around if they turn the ball over. In Jim Tressel's five previous bowl games, Ohio State has won the turnover margin in three of them, and the Buckeyes are 2-1 in those games. (Ironically, the Buckeyes are 2-0 in the games they had more turnovers, which kind of defies logic.)
