Chuck Pulice's 300 puts feather in cap of Mahoning Valley Men

Chuck Pulice's 300 was top single during the Dec. 14 session of Mahoning Valley Men at Holiday. However, Pulice's 713 series was topped by Jim Chaney's 732.
Robert Hyziak stepped to the line for his first game on Christmas Eve and rolled a 300 in Youngstown Steel-Mopar at Boardman.
Teri Haefke's 267-744 topped Thursday Night Matchplay at Amron on Dec. 21.
Joe Serrecchio threw 11-in-a-row 290 in the first game and his son, Brian Serrecchio, rolled a 300 in the third game bowling for the United American Insurance team in Thursday Night Sportsman at Wedgewood.
The Serrecchios finished a pin apart with Joe's series 693 and Brian's 692.
Jets win first half
Bob Richardson's 299-694 topped the Friday Senior Men at Holiday on Dec. 22, when Jets of Jim DellaPenna, John Gibson, Bill Young and Mario Romito won FSM's first half.
Eric Grischow's 11-in-a-row on Dec. 23 culminated in a 296-707 in Boardman Juniors.
Carol Pennington, Jennifer Gossett and Grace Sciarra had the highest three-game sets in Wedgewood Ladies Trio with 738, 718 and 714, respectively, on Dec. 26.
Pennington's 951 was also the top four-game series, while Gossett's 278 was the top single.
Pat Clinkscales had 625 while pre-bowling for the TNBA Church League at Holiday. Her high of 231 was sandwiched by a pair of 197s. Clinkscales' average is 181.
The Ball-Busters won Variety Mixed's second quarter at Holiday with Lauren Baker, David Iscuria, Mary Hazlett and Eric Hazlett.
Note: Jennifer Gossett's name was incorrectly written as Jennifer Smolko in the Dec. 31 bowling writeup.
Gossett had games of 299 and 300 as part of an 800 three-game set in Wedgewood Ladies Trio on Dec. 19. Gossett's four-game total was 1,023.
Men's tournament
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Greater Youngstown Bowling Association is accepting entries for its 75th annual city bowling tournament, which runs Jan. 19-28.
The team event is at Amron Lanes; singles and doubles are at Holiday.
The team championships will again include two divisions: upper (1,000 average and higher) and lower (999 average and below). The ranges for the doubles event are 400-up and 399-under, while singles and all-events are divided into 200-up and 199-under.
Entry fee is 17 per event per bowler with all-events 2 optional.
Forms may be obtained at all area centers or by calling the GYBA at (330) 758-8367.
Entries close on Friday.
