Celebration planned for Three Kings Day

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana and Saborico Production is sponsoring a Three Kings Day event from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Saborico's Corner Market, 1361 Shehy St., on the city's East Side.
Three Kings Day is celebrated every Jan. 6. It is often viewed as the last day of the Christmas season (the end of the 12 days of Christmas) in Mexico, Puerto Rico and other Latin countries.
Also known as The Epiphany, Three Kings Day (D & iacute;a de los Reyes) is a Christian celebration that commemorates the Biblical story of the three kings who followed the star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child.
At the local free event, called "Three Kings: Don't Lose the Tradition," the three kings will appear and there also will be traditional music, toys and free candy for the children.
