Crash sends two Pa. men to hospital

BROOKFIELD — The Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an early-morning car crash today that sent two Pennsylvania men to the hospital.

The patrol reports that Matthew A. Faber, 26, of Farrell, Pa., was traveling south on state Route 7 at 3:58 a.m. when he ran a red light at the intersection of state Route 82 in the township.

Faber struck a car driven by Robert L. Elia, 73, of Hermitage, Pa., who was traveling east on Route 82. The impact of the crash caused Elia’s vehicle to spin off the road and hit a utility poll. Both men were taken to the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Health Center, where they were being treated for their injuries.
